Post offices are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. To send mail overseas you can choose from airmail (about 7 days), economy air mail (about 14 days) and surface mail (about 2 months).

If you have a lot to send home, it may be cheaper to send it with a shipping service. It can take a bit longer, but is usually better value.

Most post offices around the country offer poste restante service so you can get mail as you travel. Post restante is available at most country post offices but only from the main post office in major cities.
